The 25th anniversary of Afrofest took place July 5th to July 6th at Woodbine Park. The festival is a celebration of African music and culture, one that many members of the city take part in. Sarah Thomson attended the event both days making a strong connection with the attendees of the event. The event was blessed with gorgeous weather both days and had a great turn out.

Bacardi Festival Libre

The Bacardi Festival Libre was hosted July 4th-July 6th in the Distillery District. The festival had a variety of food, music and drinks all in the beautiful district. Sarah Thomson attended the festival Saturday morning and was able to meet some wonderful people.

Taste of Lawrence

The annual Taste of Lawrence Festival is a three-day food and cultural festival that took place from July 4th – July 6th. Sarah Thomson helped kick off the festival, along with some other mayoral candidates, on Friday. Sarah spent the better part of Friday and Saturday enjoying the food and live music of the Taste of Lawrence. The festival this year was a great success thanks to the great workers and volunteers from the Scarborough area that helped make this event possible.

Earls Bale Park Arts and Music Festival

The Earls Bale Park Art and Music Festival celebrated its second annual event on Sunday July 6th. The event was a celebration of local arts and music of North York and Toronto. Sarah Thomson attended the festival in the morning and helped kick off the event with mayoral candidate David Soknacki. The event wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of Ward 10 Councillor James Pasternak and all of the volunteers that helped on Sunday

World Pride 2014

During the World Pride event hosted by Toronto in 2014 Sarah Thomson and her supporters canvassed the streets daily. Sarah was among the 12 000 marchers that concluded the festivities on Sunday.
